View Acquisition CriteriaWho We Are
RISE E&C Inc. is a Texas C-Corporation formed to acquire, own, and operate businesses in the oil & gas and energy services sectors. We focus exclusively on the lower-middle market — companies generating between $750,000 and $3 million in annual revenue — where we believe the most compelling risk-adjusted opportunities exist.
Our approach is operator-led and relationship-driven. We target founder-owned businesses where the owner is ready to transition, and where disciplined operational management and strategic capital can unlock meaningful value.
With deep roots in energy infrastructure, FERC-regulated pipelines, decarbonization strategy, and commercial development, RISE E&C brings an uncommon combination of engineering rigor and M&A acumen to each acquisition.
Operational expertise as competitive advantage. We understand the businesses we buy — from pipeline operations to field services — and can manage them from day one.
Lower-middle market inefficiency. The $750K–$3M revenue segment is under-served by traditional private equity, creating less competitive deal flow and better valuations.
Transition-ready sellers. Many founders in this segment lack a succession plan. We provide a credible, respectful path to liquidity while preserving their legacy.
Buy-and-build strategy. Each acquisition is a platform for bolt-on growth, geographic expansion, and service diversification across the energy value chain.
Leadership
Agya Anane-Sekyere is a Houston-based energy leader with over 15 years of experience spanning large-scale capital project development, energy infrastructure operations, decarbonization strategy, and commercial development. He founded RISE E&C Inc. to channel that experience into direct ownership of energy and engineering services businesses.
Agya holds an MBA in Corporate Strategy & Finance from Rice University's Jones Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Prairie View A&M University. His academic training in M&A, firm valuation, and financial modeling directly informs his acquisition approach.
Previously, as Lead Engineer at Enbridge Inc., Agya led over $1.1 billion in capital project development including a 130-mile, 400 MMscfd FERC-regulated natural gas pipeline — a project expected to generate $300M in annual revenues. He presented financial models and business cases for $200M–$2B in projects to senior leadership, developing the financial fluency that now drives his M&A work.
At EPRI, he structured $5–10M in R&D partnerships for hydrogen, CCUS, RNG, and battery storage technologies. At LiquidPower (Berkshire Hathaway), he built commercial frameworks for pipeline flow assurance solutions generating $2M+ in measurable client savings. As a Venture Capital Fellow at New Climate Ventures, he conducted investment due diligence on early-stage climate and infrastructure companies for a $35M fund.
